Expertise: Outpatient orthopedic and sports Physical Therapy with emphasis in manual therapy and specific exercise training as needed for dysfunction.
Education: I received my B.S. in Exercise Science and M.S. in Exercise Physiology at Kansas State University prior to completing my clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) at Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 1996. I also hold my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) since 1996 and am Board Certified OCS (Orthopedic Certified Specialist) through the APTA since 2005.
Experience: I have been practicing in outpatient orthopedics and sports since 1996 and have focused my continuing education on this aspect including a spine mentorship locally in the DFW market for 7 months in 2006-07. I also practice the treatment technique of Kinesiotaping since 2000 which has aided in recovery of many patients in conjunction with manual therapy and specific therapeutic exercise.
Kinetacore Training: I have attended and passed the theory and practical examinations of the Level 1 Intramuscular Manual Therapy (IMT) / aka dry needling and have noted good outcomes with this added treatment technique with my patients with soft tissue dysfunction.
